Malictus.net is the place where I keep my (somewhat sporadic and uninteresting) blog, and my non-work related projects. My name is Jim Halliday, and I'm currently employed as a software programmer and analyst for Indiana University.

Although my degrees are in Piano Performance and Music Theory, I have been working full-time since 2001 as a programmer, focusing primarily on music-related projects for the IU Digital Library Program. I have worked on the Sound Directions, IN Harmony and Variations2 projects in the past, and I'm currently working on IUScholarWorks, among other things.

In my spare time, I'm an avid video game fanatic. Until my knees prevented it, I was a dedicated Dance Dance Revolution player, and after that I became very active in the Guitar Hero community. Several of my non-work projects have revolved around music and gaming.

Lastly, I'll put in a plug for my wife's etsy shop. She makes great stuff; you can check it out here!
